Why do prices differ between locations?
Due to the increased cost of trucking to our Gloucester location, we’re unable to offer the same pricing for materials at all of our locations. We apologize for any confusion this may cause.
Why doesn't each location stock the same products?
Our Ipswich location stocks Playground Mulch and Clamshells, but Gloucester does not. This is because there is not enough storage space at our Gloucester location at this time. We still offer delivery* to Rockport and Gloucester from our Ipswich location for these materials. *Delivery fee from our Ipswich location applies.
How much do our trucks hold?
Our one-ton trucks can carry up to 6 yards of mulch or up to 3 yards of heavy material (stone, sand, loam). Our 6-wheeler trucks can carry up to 10 yards of mulch or up to 8 yards of heavy material. Our tri-axles can carry up to 25 yards of mulch or up to 20 yards of heavy material — please note that this truck requires at least 50 feet of extra horizontal clearance and 35 feet of uninterrupted vertical clearance to dump and cannot travel off-road. How many tons are in a yard?
One yard is equal to roughly 1.3 tons, though materials vary.

If you are looking for pavers, Tyler is your guy. He has been with Wolf Hill for over a decade and brings experience from the hardscape industry as well as other area nurseries. Estimates for materials, walls, patios, and more can be handled by Tyler with a call or email, or stop by our Ipswich location. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys spending time in Maine with his family and off-road adventures.
